Sharon Ocampo-Montañer is the Director of the Market Operations Service. An economist in profession, she has 22 years of experience in energy regulation and was tasked to handle Renewable Energy when the Renewable Energy Act was passed in 2008.
As Director of MOS, she supervises the Spot Market Division which is in charge of monitoring the wholesale electricity spot market, the Contestable Market Division which is in charge of the monitoring of the competitive retail electricity market, the Licensing and Market Monitoring Division which is in charge of the issuance and monitoring of Certificates of Compliance to generation companies, and the Renewable Energy Division which is in charge of the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the programs under the Renewable Energy Act.
She will represent the ERC Chairperson and CEO, Atty Monalisa Dimalanta as Guest Speaker at the Philippine Power Expo 2024.
