Environmental Regulations
I have more than 15 years relevant hands-on professional experience in environmental safeguards and sustainability work having been employed within consultancy, government, and international financing institutions such as the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank.
I hold a Masteral Degree in Environmental Science, a Masteral Degree in Environmental Resource Management, and a Diploma on International Environmental Law. I am a PhD Candidate in Environmental Management.
I have significant experience in environmental impact assessment, specifically on the preparation of environment action plans for infrastructure projects.
My expertise also includes environmental and social impact assessment, environmental management planning, implementation of mitigation measures, monitoring & evaluation, and audit. She is a certified trainer who has provided expert support and training to enhance internal capabilities, as well as those of the project stakeholders.
I am also a trained and proficient lead auditor in ISO 14001: 2015.
Ms. Socorro Patindol
Ms. Patindol graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology at the University of the Philippines at Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines. She has a Masters degrees in Environmental Resource Management and in Environmental Studies (Ford Foundation Thesis Grant Awardee in 1992). She is a candidate for PhD in Environmental Science at UP Diliman.
She has worked at Aboitiz Power Corporation as AVP for Environmental Management and is responsible for ensuring that all subsidiary power companies are in compliance with DENR environmental regulations.
She has worked also as Aboitiz Power Corporation’s AVP for Environmental, Health and Safety. She established and led the newly created Environmental Management Department for the power generation group. Served as oversight for APC’s 5 Business Units (BUs). Led the EHS Teams from these 5 power groups composed of about 35 members (EHS Managers, Pollution Control Officers (PCOs) and assistants). establish and lead the EHS Department at the Corporate and plant levels prior to the actual transfer of ownership from National Power Corporation (NPC) to APRI.
