Engr. Romeo G. Francisco Jr., fondly known as Jhon, is a distinguished Professional Mechanical Engineer whose expertise in safety, project management, and emergency preparedness has left a lasting impact on the engineering community. Residing in Valenzuela City, Philippines, Francisco has built an illustrious career centered on fostering safety and leadership in high-stakes environments.
A graduate of Mapua Institute of Technology (B.S. Mechanical Engineering, 1986) and holder of a Master’s in Business Administration from Philippine Christian University (2000), Francisco combines technical prowess with strategic insight. His professional journey includes nearly three decades with the National Power Corporation, where he served as Community Relations Officer/Safety Officer (1995–2019) and later as Project-in-Charge (2019–2024), overseeing critical operations with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Francisco’s commitment to safety education is evident in his extensive track record of conducting seminars over the past five years, including Fire Safety (2019), Defensive Driving (2019), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Mandatory Training (2021), Oil Spill Response & Recovery (2021, 2024), and Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) and Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) programs (2022–2025). His engaging presentation skills and leadership have made him a sought-after trainer in these domains.
His contributions have earned him prestigious recognition, including four consecutive PSME Presidential Awards (2021–2024) as Chairman of the Safety Engineering & Health Technical Division of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME). Francisco’s leadership extends to key affiliations, such as his role as Overall Chairman of the High-Rise Category in the Safety Organization of the Philippines’ Fire Safety Division (2015–present), Vice President Technical of PSME’s QC Agham Chapter (2019–present), and a Chartered Member of REACT Philippines Inc. (2021–present).
